Agnes Melvin
Agnes Melvin age 85 of Muir passed away May 14, 2008 in Grand Rapids. She was born June 22, 1922 in Carson City the daughter of Ernest and Louella (Loudenbeck) Edmonds. Agnas married Charles Melvin June 15, 1941. He preceded her in death in 1994.
She was a member of First Christian Church in Muir, where she was very active with church activities and functions. She loved to sew, crochet and taught sewing. She also enjoyed slot machines occasionally.
Agnes is survived by her sons, James and Audrey Melvin of Ashley, Jerald and Vicky Melvin of Ionia, Ron and Leslie Melvin of Mason and Rod and Rita Melvin of California; daughter, Michelle and Robert Adams of Illinois; brother, David and Joan Edmonds of Muir, 8 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son, Joseph and grandson Gabriel.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, 10:00 A.M. at First Christian Church in Muir with Rev. Greg Gladding officiating. Interment Oakwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends and relatives Friday 2-4 and 7-8:30 P.M. at Lake Funeral Home in Muir.
