Bonnie Shattuck
Bonnie Shattuck age 75 of Ionia joined her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ June 14, 2008. She was born September 7, 1932 in Grand Rapids the daughter of Anthony and Dorothy (Kellogg) Helderop. Bonnie married Donald E. Shattuck March 22, 1952. .
She was a member of Temple Baptist Church, where she helped with Awana and taught Sunday School. She assisted in the hospital as a Gray Lady in the 60’s and she loved yard work, gardening and traveling.
Bonnie is survived by her loving husband Donald Shattuck of Ionia; children, Joyce and Rick Maloley of Grand Rapids, Carol Shattuck of Berkley, Donald E. and Mary Shattuck of Ionia and Stephen and Annette Shattuck of Ionia; brother, Richard and Sandy Helderop of Dorr; sister, Bev and Ron Johnston of Ionia; sister in law, Gerry and Jerry Waldron of Grand Rapids; grandchildren, Aaron and Wendy Wetzel of Oregon, Brett and Ashley Maloley of Grand Rapids, Richard Maloley of Grand Rapids, Donald E. Shattuck III of Grand Rapids, Amanda Shattuck of Florida, Stephen Shattuck II of California and Christopher and Mallory Shattuck of Georgia, Kyle Shattuck of Ionia and Kaylee Shattuck of Ionia and several great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her grandson Tim Wetzel and brother Tony Helderop.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, 1:00 P.M. at Temple Baptist Church with Pastor John Clark officiating. Interment Easton Cemetery. The family will receive relatives and friends Wednesday 2-4 and 6-8 P.M. at Lake Funeral Home in Ionia.
