Benjamin Glen Tower Sr.
Benjamin (Ben) Glen Tower Sr. age 79 of Saranac passed away October 7, 2008 in Saranac. He was born June 22, 1929 in Saranac the son of Glen and Hazel (Race) Tower. He lived all of his life in the home he was born in. He worked for the US Post Office for 37 years. Ben married Judy Pinckney June 10, 1961 in Saranac. He was an avid hunter, fisherman, golfer, reader and will be sadly missed by all.
Ben is survived by his loving wife of 47 years Judy Tower of Saranac; children, Renaye Mansfield of Florida, Rachelle Mansfield of Florida and Benjamin G. Tower II of Florida; grandchildren, Olivia Mathews and Benjamin G. Tower II of Florida and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, 4 sisters and special niece Shirley Smith.
A memorial service will be held Friday, 2:00 P.M. at Shiloh Community Church with Rev. Kenneth Harger officiating. The family will receive friends and relatives Thursday 2-4 and 7-8:30 P.M. at Lake Funeral Home in Saranac.
