Connie Smith
Connie Smith age 39, of Saranac passed away May 8, 2008. She was born December 20, 1968 in Grand Rapids the daughter of Robert and Doris (Reed) Butler. Connie married Jack Smith October 24, 1992 in Pewamo. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Ionia. She was very involved with AYSO Soccer program for many years. Connie loved scrap booking, gardening, Holland Lake and playing cards with her brother in law John.
Connie is survived by her loving husband of 15 years Jack Smith of Saranac; children, Breegale Smith of Saranac and Bradley Smith of Saranac; father, Robert Butler of Ionia; brother, David and Rhonda Butler of Ionia; sister, Lisa and Scott Brewer of Sheridan; father and mother in law, Ken and Pat Smith of Ionia brother in law, John Smith of Lapeer; special niece and nephew, Michael and Amanda Brewer, many aunts uncles and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her mother in 2006.
Funeral services will be held Monday, May 12, 2008, 2:00 P.M. at Saranac Community Church with Pastor Catherine Martin officiating. Interment Saranac Cemetery. The family will receive friends and relatives Monday 11:00 A.M. until time of service at the church. Arrangements by Lake Funeral Home in Saranac. In lieu of flowers a donation may be made for Connie’s children.
