Doris Emma Green

Doris Emma Green aged 85 of Ionia, passed away July 10, 2008. She was born December 18, 1922 in Ionia, Michigan, the daughter of John and Mary (Neve) Shattuck.

She married LaVerne Zanders in Ionia in 1947 who preceded her in death May 8, 1972. Doris then married Allen Green in Ionia May 12, 1973 who preceded her in death Jan 22, 2003. She was a past member of Ionia Moose and a life member of Sheridan American Legion Post.

Doris is survived by her daughters Tammy and Gary Wernette of Sheridan, and Cindy and Bill Stump of Ionia; brother Clyde and June Shattuck of Florida;Grandchildren RaLinda Hilliker and Steve Bouck, Jennifer and Pat Lafferty and great grandchildren Anthony Kruszkowski and Alexandra Hilliker.

She is preceded in death by 2 brothers Forrest Shattuck and John Shattuck and 1 sister Helen Trent.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 A.M. Monday at Lake Funeral Home in Ionia with Pastor Jim Wilcox officiating. Interment Sunset Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends and relatives 4-7 P.M. Sunday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers you may make contributions to the American Cancer Society to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation.
