Lloyd George Edwards Sr.
Lloyd George Edwards Sr., age 77 of Ionia passed away October 10, 2008 in Carson City. He was born in Ionia the son of George and Freda (Grill) Edwards. Lloyd married Frances Lockhart in St. Helens, Lanchester, England October 3, 1952. He served in the United States Air Force during the Korean Conflict. He worked for the City of Ionia Fire Department for 30 years.
Lloyd is survived by his loving wife of 56 years Frances Edwards of Ionia; children, Clifford and Connie Edwards of Ionia, Irene Winter of Ionia, Karen and Doug Peabody of Lyons, Lloyd and Laura Edwards Jr. of Ionia, Angie and Barry Stout of Ionia and Sue and Rich Ring II of Belding; brother, Franklin and Lorane Edwards of Ionia; grandchildren, Nicole, Jennifer, Nathan, Leah, Ashley, Jim, Tonya, Tarah, Jennifer, Lloyd III, Jason, Alicia, Bridget, Richard III, Sarah, Kayla, Heather and 12 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, 11:00 A.M. at Shiloh Community Church with Rev. Kenneth Harger officiating. Interment Palo Cemetery. The family will receive friends and relatives Wednesday 4-7 P.M. at Lake Funeral Home in Ionia and Thursday 10:00 A.M. until time of service at Shiloh Community Church. Anyone wishing may make memorial contributions in Lloyds name to Shiloh Community Church or Laurels of Carson City Rehab Center.
