Helen T. McKee

Helen T. McKee , 88, of Ionia, passed away November 14, 2008. She was born February 4, 1920, in Grand Rapids, the daughter of Joseph and Marianne ( Eidukaitis) Chapla.

She married Kenneth L. McKee June 11, 1941 in Grand Rapids. He preceded her in death on June 23, 2005.

Helen was a member of SS Peter & Paul Catholic Church. She was an avid bingo player and golfer. Helen loved and enjoyed being with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She is survived by children; Carole and Jack Hausserman of Ionia, Jim and Lisa McKee of Muir, Mary Ann and Al Pearson of Ionia, Patti Trueblood and Roger Davis of Ionia, Margaret and Richard Renucci of Ionia , and Ken and Cindy McKee of Ionia; 12 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren with another great grandchild on the way; and twin sister Helene Morrow of California.

She was preceded in death by 3 brothers and 6 sisters, and daughter- in- law Patricia McKee in April of 2000.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 A.M. Tuesday at SS Peter & Paul Catholic Church with Father Melvin Fox celebrant. Interment at Mt Olivet Cemetery . The family will receive friends and relatives Monday 4:00-7:00 at Lake Funeral Home in Ionia. Prayer service will be held at 7:00 P.M. at the funeral home following visitation. In lieu of flowers you may make contributions to SS Peter & Paul Catholic Church or Ionia Hospice.
