John C. Hague
John C. Hague aged 80 of Ionia passed away May 15, 2008. He was born August 11, 1927 in Grand Rapids, MI , the son of Clark and Muriel (Warnock) Hague. He married Helen Ross of Ionia in 1948 who proceeded him in death November 10, 1998 after 50 years of marriage. John married Betty Johnson Strickling at Shiloh Church December 6, 2003.
He retired from Ionia County Road Commission as a dispatcher in 1993.
John touched many lives with his generous heart.
He is survived by his loving wife Betty Hague of Ionia; children Marcia and Mark Culp of Lake City, Dennis and Laura Hague of West Olive, and Debra and Patrick McLaughlin of Alma; step children Linda and Lawson Craven of Saranac, David and Bridget Strickling of Ionia, Richard and Judy Strickling of Fenwick, Steven Strickling of Fenwick, Diane and Jim Piselli of Ionia; step son in law Mike Miller of Wayland; brother Robert and Bette Hague of Grand Rapids; sister Marge Hague of Ionia; 5 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, 7 step grandchildren and 1 great step grandchild.
John is preceded in death by one step daughter Brenda and 1 grandson Donald Clark Hague.
Funeral services will be held 10:30 A.M. Monday May 19th at Shiloh Community Church with Rev. Ken Harger officiating. Interment Easton Cemetery. The family will receive friends and relatives Sunday 2-4 and 7-8:30 P.M. at Lake Funeral Home in Ionia. In lieu of flowers you may make contributions to Shiloh Community Church or Commission on Aging.
