Joseph Michael Jones
Joseph Michael Jones aged 63 of Ionia passed away October 31, 2008. He was born March 23, 1945 in Ionia, the son of Joseph and Margaret (Erridge) Jones.
He married Kathleen Todd September 12, 1966 in Ionia.
Joseph served during, in the Vietnam war in the Coast Guard.
He was a member of the American Legion in Saranac, Western Michigan Gun Club, and National Rifle Association and also a member of St. John The Apostle Episcopal Church.
Joseph is survived by his loving wife of 42 years Kathleen Jones of Ionia; his mother Margaret Jones of Ionia; daughters Julianne and Ronald Klumpp of Ionia and Amy and Mark Almond of Madison , Wisconsin; grandchildren Ryan, Jonathan, Ethan, Jordan, Daniel, Chris and Colleen; twin brother James W. Jones of Belding.
He was preceded in death by 1 sister Sally Jo and his father Joseph L. Jones.
Memorial services will be held Saturday, 2:00 P.M. at St. John The Apostle Episcopal Church with Father John Crean officiating. The family will receive friends and relatives Friday 4:00-7:00 at Lake Funeral Home in Ionia. In lieu of flowers you may make contributions to St. John Apostle Episcopal Church of Ionia, the Zion Food Pantry or Ionia Public Scholarship Fund.
