John Dalzell Kruger
John Dalzell Kruger aged 92 of Muir, MI passed away November 4, 2008. He was born April 8, 1916, the son of Francis Rudolph and Inez (Dalzell) Kruger.
He married Pearl Audrey Halsted Kemp December 27, 1975. John married late in life as he was 59 years old when he married Pearl.
John farmed on his parent’s farm with his dad . He lived here all of his 92 years of life, located north of Muir on Hayes Rd. He also worked with his brother Knight farming in Muir. He retired from Chrysler in 1979, and retired from farming in his eighties. He did everything on the farm including welding and fixing machinery. John was the jack of all trades.
John loved camping, country music and Lawrence Welk.
He is survived by his loving wife of 32 years Pearl ( Kemp) Kruger of Ionia; children Ronald and Susie Kemp of Grand Ledge, Duane and Kathy Kemp of Grand Ledge, Barbara and Al Trepczyk of Wisconsin, Edwin and Priscilla Kemp of Bellvue, James and Tawney Kemp of North Carolina, and Steven and Sheila Kemp of Grand Ledge. , 24 grandchildren, 53 great grandchildren, and 5 great great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and 1 very special niece Linda Pigue and several cousins.
Funeral services will be held Friday 11:00 A.M. at Lake Funeral Home in Ionia with Rev. Kenneth Harger officiating. The family will receive friends and relatives Wednesday 4:00-7:00 and Thursday 4:00-7:00 P.M. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers you may make contributions to Eaton Community Hospice in Charlotte.
