Jeanette N. Smith
Jeanette N. Smith age 82 of Ionia passed away September 25, 2008 in Ionia. She was born November 23, 1925 in Dallas Twp., Michigan the daughter of George and Grace (Clifford) Ward. Jeanette married Ivan Smith May 17, 1942 in Matherton he preceded her in death January 16, 2004. She was a member of the Ionia Moose Lodge and Sheridan VFW Ladies Auxiliary. She loved to bake, sew, and take care of her family.
Jeanette is survived by her son Duane and Judith Smith of Ionia; daughters, Patricia Wagner Smith of Kentucky, Cheryl and Howard Hirschman of Ionia and Phyllis Smith of Ionia and several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 1 son in law Phillip Wagner in April of 2007 , 1 brother Carl Martin and 1 sister Stella Whitney.
A graveside service will be held Monday 1:00 P.M. at Easton Cemetery with Rev. Kenneth Harger officiating. Any one wishing may make memorial contributions in Jeannette's name to Ionia Area Hospice.
