Michael Murphy
Michael ( Mike) James Murphy aged 56 of Saranac passed away August 11, 2008. He was born May 20, 1952 in Lakeview, Michigan, the son of Donald and Elizabeth (Folk) Murphy.
Mike is survived by his loving wife Jean Murphy of Saranac; children Jennifer Murphy of Grand Rapids, Michelle and Nolan Brightman of Holland, Lisa and Mark Strouse of Lowell, Erica Lippert of Saranac, Andy and Cheron Lippert of Virginia; brother Dan and Jill Murphy of Grand Rapids; sister Peg Murphy and friend Deb Maynard of Lowell; 6 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents and daughter Nicole.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 A.M. Friday at Lake Funeral Home in Saranac with Rev. Scott Polk officiating. Interment at Blanchard-Decker Cemetery. The family will receive friends and relatives 2-4 and 7-8:30 P.M. Thursday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers you may make contributions to Boy Scouts of America or Multiple Sclerosis.
