Marvin K. Shade
Marvin K. Shade age 72, of Lake Odessa passed away May 4, 2008 in Grand Rapids. He was born November 17, 1935 in Lake Odessa the son of Wayne and Mildred (Hayes) Shade. Marvin married Bobbie Perkins May 19, 1956 in Portland.
He worked at General Motors for 30 years. He loved John Deere Tractors, snowmobiling and NASCAR.
Marvin is survived by his loving wife of 51 years Bobbie Shade of Lake Odessa; children, Connie Shade of Lansing, Vaughn and Donna Shade of Alto, Curtis Shade of Vermontville, Gary Shade of Lake Odessa and Scott Shade of Lake Odessa; brothers, Gene and Trudy Shade of Lake Odessa and Dean and Shirley Shade of Hastings; sisters, Karolyn and Jerry Stalter of Clarksville, Linda and John Stedham of Thornapple Lake, Letha Reese of Lake Odessa and Sherrie and Tom Wacha of Sunfield; 9 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, 1daughter, Tia Shade; 2 brothers, Brandon Shade and Robert Hill and 1 sister, Frances Johnston.
A memorial service will be held, Saturday, May 17th, 2:00 P.M. at Wells's Body Shop. Arrangements by Lake Funeral Home in Ionia.
