Robert Lake Sr. Partner Director/ Manager - Saranac I graduated from Creston High School in Grand Rapids, Michigan in 1964. Then went on to attend Grand Rapids Community College. I graduated from Worsham college in 1969. I have been married since 1967 to my wife Kathleen and we had four children Robert II, Brendon, Damion, and Sara. I moved to Saranac in 1974 where I served my apprenticeship. I purchased the Lake Funeral Home in Saranac in 1977. My son came to work for me in 1992 and we then created a partnership in 1996. We expanded and went on to build a funeral home at a second location. On September 22, 1996 the brand new facility opened for business in Ionia. In March of 2000 an opportunity presented its self to purchase a third funeral home in Muir. I am a member of Saranac Lions Club, President of Community Club of Saranac, Ionia Hospital Ethics Committee, and a member of Park Congregational Church in Grand Rapids since 1962.
Robert Lake II Partner Director/Manager-Ionia I was born in 1968 in Grand Rapids, Michigan where I lived until moving to Saranac, Michigan with my parents in 1974. I was raised in a funeral home setting. After graduating from Saranac High School in 1986 I attended Grand Rapids Junior College where I received my Associates Degree in Liberal Arts. I then moved to Detroit, Michigan to serve my 12 months of apprenticeship. I worked in a funeral home there and learned many valuable things which have allowed me to reach my goals in this profession. I then went on to Worsham College of Mortuary Science where I would graduate in 1990 with my degree. I returned to work with my father in Saranac in 1992 and we then created a partnership in 1996. We expanded and went on to build a funeral home at a second location. I have four children Dylan, Bobby, Haley and Morgan. There are many activities that keep me busy such as scouting, coaching sports, and many volunteer activities. I am a member and past president of the Saranac Lions Club, Member of the Saranac Community Club, Member of Ionia Hospital Ethics Board, and Member of Substance Abuse Advisory Board of Ionia County.
Herbert W. Brown Director/Manager-Muir I graduated from Ionia High School in 1960, attended Lansing Community College, and graduated from Wisconsin Institute - Milwaukee in 1964. My apprenticeship was served in Lansing and I worked in Pontiac, MI for three years and St. Johns for over 30 years, retiring in 2000. My wife Linda and I have four children Kim, Becky, Amy and Todd. I am a member of the Lyons, Muir Lions Club and a licensed airplane pilot. I became manager of the Hull Memorial Chapel of the Lake Funeral Homes in September of 2000.
