Ronald Dean Rubach

Ronald Dean Rubach aged 68 of Clarksville, formerly of Ionia, passed away October 8, 2008. He was born February 28, 1940 in Clinton County, the son of Arthur and Reta (Helmick) Rubach.

He married Gwen Nyland July 17, 1959 in Ionia.

Ronald worked for the State of Michigan as a Director of Enforcement for Consumer and Industry services until retiring in 2002 after 35 years of service. He was a life member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Ionia.

Ronald is survived by his loving wife of 49 years Gwen Rubach of Clarksville; children Ellen Rubach of Phoenix, Arizona, Daniel and Debra Rubach of Westbend, Wisconsin, and Barbara Weatherbee of East Lansing; 6 grandchildren, Grace Weatherbee, Gage Weatherbee, Jacob Rubach, Benjamin Rubach, Danielle Rubach and Rebecca Rubach; brother and sister in law Bill and Gretchen Nyland of Orleans.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 A.M. Monday at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Ionia with Rev. David Bogda officiating. The family will receive friends and relatives Sunday 2:00-6:00 P.M. at Lake Funeral Home in Ionia, and 1 hour prior to the service on Monday at the church. In lieu of flowers you may make contributions to St. John’s Lutheran Church.
