Ronald Weeks
Ronald Glen Weeks age 72 of Saranac passed away September 22, 2008 in Saranac. He was born August 7, 1936 in Keene Twp., MI the son of Glenn and Ethel (Compton) Weeks. He graduated from Saranac High School in 1954. Ronald married Shirley Kolli August 17, 1968 in Rapid River, MI. He was in the National Guard where he was voted National Guard of the year. Ronald farmed all his life and worked at Amway for 6 years. He was a lifetime Mason and a member of Farm Bureau, Saranac Fire Dept., 4H & Saranac FFA.
He is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Shirley Weeks of Saranac; daughters, Tanya and Joe Smith of Jackson and Jana Weeks of Lansing; sisters, Crystal Taylor of Charlotte, June Smith of Saranac, Alberta Allen of Caledonia, Beatrice and Fred Bowen of Saranac and Joy Raimer of Saranac; brother in law, Dean McCleod; grandchildren, Tamirra and Kirk Wright, Victoria, Caroline and Danielle Smith, several nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents, 1 sister Gladys McCleod, brother in laws, Robert Smith and Paul Allen, 3 nephews and 1 niece.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, 11:00 A.M. at Saranac Community. Interment Saranac Cemetery. The family will receive friends and relatives Wednesday 1-3 P.M. and 5-8 P.M. at Lake Funeral Home in Saranac. Anyone wishing may make memorial contributions to Ionia Commission on Aging or Ionia Hospice.
